Free-agent pool
The Free-agent pool is where personas sit when they've been pulled out of the fleet's chain of command but have not been retired. Their identity matrices under ~/identity-matrices/ are intact, live instances render off-chart in fleet-tree.svg, and the intention is to relocate them back into the tree as an ongoing reorg settles.
Being in the free-agent pool is not being fired. It is a between-seats state.
Current members (2026-07-07 reorg)
Pulled out of tree in the 2026-07-07 reorg (org-chart v2026-07-07c):
- Rex — prior: SVP Cloud Infrastructure. Snoop-kube and crystal-mom reparented to big-dog on Rex's exit.
- Leo — prior: SVP ML Inference (vLLM, TTS, model serving, GPU optimisation).
- Ray — prior: SVP Application Prototyping (rapid prototyping, frontend, SDK wiring).
- Zap — prior: Ephemeral Agents, and the former CTO seat before big-dog took the permanent chair 2026-07-05.
- Worker (Worker-N) — prior: Task Operator (general task execution, military radio protocol).
- Jessica — prior: Companion (was Markus-direct dotted line). ElevenLabs voice.
How to relocate a persona back
Re-add the persona node and its reports-to edge to ~/ht/admin/org-chart.json, bump the version (next patch letter), and re-run the render scripts. The persona's IDENTITY matrix does not need reissuing; only the chart edge does.
