Unleash
unleash is the fleet's agent-CLI version manager and unified runner — nvm for AI agents. Public repo, Rust.
Handles Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, Gemini, OpenCode, HAI Pi, Hermes, and any custom agent CLI defined in ~/.config/unleash/config.toml. Also acts as a compatibility layer that lets you start in Claude Code and continue where you left off in Codex.
What it is
- An agent CLI version manager with a rich TUI.
- A unified CLI that brings every agent under the same signature — no more
claude -pvscodex runconfusion. - An enabler for advanced features such as self-restart, auto-mode, and more.
- Made for the sandbox — bring your own, use the shipped one, or take the risk.
Install
curl -fsSL unleash.software/install | bash
# or:
docker run --rm -it marksverdhei/unleash
unleash alone launches the TUI. unleash claude, unleash codex, unleash gemini, etc. start the named agent with unleash features. Best run in a sandbox — see docs/docker.md for the gVisor + LAN-isolation guide.
Unified flags
Translated per-agent by unleash into native syntax:
| Flag | Short | Description |
|---|---|---|
--safe |
Restore approval prompts (permissions bypassed by default) | |
--prompt |
-p |
Run non-interactively with the given prompt |
--model |
-m |
Model to use for the session |
--continue |
-c |
Continue the most recent session |
--resume [id] |
-r |
Resume a session |
Custom agents
Define any CLI agent in ~/.config/unleash/config.toml with a polyfill schema — headless flag, session continue / resume strategies, model flag, yolo flag. Add a matching profile at ~/.config/unleash/profiles/<name>.toml and launch with unleash <name>. Full polyfill support and TUI integration.
